Genesis 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
Saints, today we will meditate on Why does God allow bad things happen to people. We find bad things happening and people wonder Is there God present who allows this to happen. Bible says God seeks constantly for people who will do His Will.
In the book of Isaiah it is written God could not find One righteous no not One. But here it is written Noah was found righteous in the eyes of God.
What did Noah do to be found righteous in Lord's eyes.
Obedience
Noah was obedient to every command from the Lord. They were living in the age where Law was not yet setup. They were doing according to their own will. But still Noah worked according to his conscience and was obedient to every command of the Lord.
Fear of God
Noah feared God and did not want to displease him. It is written Fear of God is beginning of wisdom. When we fear or respect God he prepares an ark for us and protects us from every calamity.
Spreading the Gospel.
It would have be utter unjust if the others would not know what Lord wants, as in the case of Nineveh where Jonah spread the Gospel and people fasted and prayed including the animals and Lord turned away from the wrath.
Lord does not want to destroy his own creation but when we repeatedly do what he hates and keeping sinning against Lord and men, Lord is a righteous Judge. It was written that Lord repented that he made man. So the quantum of injustice, sin, unrighteousness was so great that it reached Heavens.
It is written that if Lord finds 10 people righteous he would not destroy the city. In both the case of Lot and Noah we find that the number of people who were saved were less than 10.
So imagine we need to be righteous do what is right according to God, as we follow his command submit your heart to the Lord, seek forgiveness for all the sins /faults you might have done, open your heart and receive the Lord Jesus as your saviour and lead a life pleasing to the Lord.
God bless
